Aja drew this hilarious guest comic, inspired by Iax and Luna’s first conversation. Despite its many wonders, the boys have learned that Earth is a terrifying place.
LOL, those and the rackum frackum re-deads.
I figured this had to be a reference to something, so I looked up “like-like” on Wikipedia and found this entry on the page “Universe of The Legend of Zelda”:
“Like Likes (ライクライク Raikuraiku) are yellowish cylindrical monsters that can suck in creatures as large as humans and consume items they carry. They are known for swallowing the shields and tunics that Link uses. Like Likes dissolve into a puddle when killed, leaving the stolen items. They first appeared in The Legend of Zelda, where they swallow the magical shield, but do not return it upon being killed.”
Now I’m torn between shaking my head in resignation and laughing my ass off.
You… haven’t played Legend of Zelda games in which like-likes were a part?
Hang on, I just noticed; where did Tiel get a Platypus from? I don’t think they’re in Australia, and they’re freshwater animals anyway.
Did you notice first he has a octopus on his head then, a crab then a frog, are they all hanging out in his hair?
This is a guest comic. It doesn’t have to even be canon, let alone maintain ecological realism.
Besides, since when does this take place in Australia? If it does, that’s certainly news to me.
