Pages 31 and 32 are now in color.
I’ll be taking one more week off from the comic, so expect an all new page on the 22nd.
I’ve finally recovered fully! The fever lasted a whole week. Hopefully I’ll stay healthy for more than 3 days this time. (I had two really bad colds within the last month and a half.) It’s really nice to be able to be standing for more than a few minutes without being totally exhausted. My skin has also gone back to its normal color. Be careful not to take too much Tylenol, kids! It’ll hurt your liver and make you turn yellow! It’s weeeiiiird. I’ve been told next time to alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
The next comic is almost ready, but I won’t be posting it until the 3rd. I’ll be working late at the day job to make up the time I missed being sick. Doing this will give me some extra time to draw the following comic.
Since I don’t like posting nothing on Tuesdays, here are a couple of Minecraft skins I made a while back. I’m currently using the Iax one.

I went to my follow-up doctor appointment today. This one said that I don’t have pneumonia, but the flu. I had always thought that the flu was just a really bad cold. Turns out it’s actually closer to death. I feel like I’m going to die. And there’s nothing I can do about it but try to keep the food and liquids down. Apparently this form of death is highly contagious, so it’s really good I haven’t gone to work.
So I won’t be able to finish next week’s comic. I’ll try my best to have something for the following week, but I can’t promise anything.
I haven’t been doing well the last few days. I’ve had a fever since Thursday, along with other unfortunate ailments. I went to a doctor yesterday and it turns out I have pneumonia. I should be able to continue with regular comic updates, but it’s becoming more unlikely that I’ll be able to get an extra update ready for the 7th.
But I’ll share something that Aja made for me:

As of today, 12 of the 62 comics are now in color. I’ll be updating comics 5 and 6 with their color versions on Tuesday. Aja is making great progress and I’m very happy to have her on the team.
Same as last year, I plan on having a bonus update on January 7th.
I registered for SpringCon next year (May 19th and 20th) at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. I haven’t gotten a definite confirmation that I got in, only confirmation that they got my info. Once I know more, I’ll make another post about it.
I have one last cast picture to draw, and then I’ll start revamping the site. If you’re following in RSS, you may see some posts appear and disappear as I test things out. Just in case if you’re wondering what’s going on.
Since the next fews days I’ll be working on that, I won’t have enough time to work on an actual comic. I was thinking I’d do a simple picture and ask you guys what you’d like me to draw. Does anyone have any requests?
The Minneapolis Indie Expo is fast approaching. Last year, I didn’t even have a web site set up. This year, not only do I have over 50 comics online, I have my very own (half) table. They tucked me all the way in the back at table 39.

So if you’re in the Twin Cities November 5th or 6th, come by to say hi!
I’m planning to put the comic on hiatus after next week’s (Oct. 4th) update. I’ve just barely had enough time to get each strip done each week, and that means several things keep getting pushed off as a result. The website needs a facelift, the cast page needs to be updated, as well as the gallery. Plus, I have a lot of not-comic but comic-related art I’d like to do. I’m not sure how long it will take, but I’ll post updates on the comic’s twitter (@NWcomic). This will also give me some time to finalize the script for the next arc. It’s almost ready except for a pesky chunk in the middle.
I want to make sure the site looks nice and shiny for MIX in November, so the hiatus shouldn’t last longer than a month. Thank you for your patience!
Since the only people using the forums since January are spam bots, I’m closing new user registration indefinitely. If you’d still like to sign up, send me an email and I will unlock it for you.
I was very fortunate to get in on the free sketches on the True Magic forums and requested Tiel and Iax (obviously). If you don’t already read it, I highly suggest starting now. I mean right now. Go.
And if you’ve stuck around for some reason, I drew a sketch of my own last night. Once I’m not late for work, I’ll add it to the gallery. Manga Studio is like cheating for lineart. I’m half considering using it in the future to ink the comic once I get used to the program.
