Greetings, new readers! (Also, hello to all of you loyal readers! You guys keep me going!)

Welcome to Northwind, the comic about two idiots who got into a lot of trouble and got banished to Earth. We currently update every Tuesday, but there will be a special bonus update on Friday, January 7th!

I recently updated WordPress and Comicpress, but wasn’t very smart about it. Some problems got fixed, but then changes I had made to the stylesheet and the tracking code got overwritten. Next time I’ll be sure to make backups before upgrading anything. If anyone finds problems with the site, please let me know.

A links section has been added, but currently there are only two banners for NW in there. I plan on having an archives page, but I haven’t figured out how to do that with wordpress. I’d like to have something that updates automatically. My coding skills are at the 1990′s geocities html level (haha). Comicpress and its automatic-updating is like magic to me. My old comic was all html and manually updated each time. That was a pain in the butt.

Extra Update

Since I’ve gotten my comic buffer back, I’ve decided to give you guys a bonus update on our birthday! There will be a normal update on January 4th, and then a bonus update on January 7th!

While I’m anxious to tell this story, updates after this will remain at only once a week. Adding the extra process of toning, it takes several hours to complete each comic. Mostly because I’m super slow. And easily distracted. But for my sanity and my back’s sakes, please be patient with me!

Font Size and Fallcon

I’ve been told my text is too small. I went back and edited the pages to increase the font size as much as the word bubbles would allow. I also made Gina’s snarky comment on page 4 bigger so it’s actually legible now. The cast page was updated to add Gina’s profile.

It’s a bit short notice, but I MAY be attending Fallcon this weekend. If not as a guest, I’ll at least show up to hang out with Lemmo at his table for a while. He just reminded me about it today, so I didn’t register or anything. Hopefully I’m not too sick this weekend. I’ve got another sore throat, and the last time that happened I got an ear infection and my ear canal swelled so much I couldn’t hear anything in my right ear. For two weeks. That sucked. So if you meet me at Fallcon and I ignore you, it’s probably because I can’t hear you!

Launch Date

A new page of War of the Webcomics will be uploaded every day (even weekends) until Northwind’s official launch date – September 21st! After that, Northwind will be updated once a week on Tuesdays. Why Tuesdays? Because I’ve noticed that other than the comics that update every week day, Tuesday is often neglected. Poor Tuesday.
